Seeing "disconnected from game, possibly due to game joined from another device"? This could mean someone hacked your account — or it could be harmless. Here's how to tell the difference and protect yourself.
This error shows the message: "Disconnected from game, possibly due to game joined from another device."
If you see Error 273, follow these steps immediately:
First, think: did you recently open Roblox on your phone, a friend's computer, or a tablet? If yes, this is normal behavior. Roblox only allows one active session per account, so the older session gets disconnected.
If you did NOT log in elsewhere → go to Step 2 immediately. Someone may have your password.
Go to Settings → Security → Change Password on the Roblox website. Use a strong, unique password that you don't use for any other account.
Go to Settings → Security → 2-Step Verification and turn it on. This adds an extra layer of security — even if someone gets your password, they can't log in without the verification code.
In Settings → Security, click "Log out of all other sessions." This kicks the hacker out of your account everywhere.
Your account is now protected. If you think someone accessed your account, also check your Roblox inventory and Robux balance for any unauthorized changes.
